Timothy Seth Avett as Darling returns with a whole new sound for his album Feathe, which I’m honored to have co-produced with Seth, recorded and mixed.
Working with Seth has been one of the great joys of my life and career. We have so much fun together! He is patient, kind, hilarious, sincere, prolific and talented AF.
Whether meeting up in-person for a few stints at Asheville, NC’s iconic Echo Mountain recording studio, or “dialing-in” from our individual home studios connected remotely via Source Nexus, every session was an idyllic blend of focused productivity and side-splitting laughter.
Feathe (rhymes with ‘breathe’) celebrates our mutual love of hip-hop, drawing sonic and rhythmic inspiration from 90’s-2000’s-era boom-bap, fused with Seth’s live acoustic instrumentation, hooky vocal melodies and signature heartfelt lyricism.
